Characteristics & Application Industry
After calcined petroleum coke is used to produce pre-baked anodes for aluminum smelting or graphite electrodes for steel smelting.
Low-sulfur, high-quality calcined coke, such as needle coke, is mainly used to manufacture ultra-high power graphite electrodes and certain special carbon products; needle coke is an important material for the development of new electric furnace steelmaking technology in the steelmaking industry.
Medium-sulfur, ordinary calcined coke is used in aluminum smelting in large quantities.
