【Refractories】August Major Refractory Raw Material Market May Remain Weak

I. Nationwide Large-Scale Industrial Operations Overview

In June, the industrial added value of large-scale enterprises increased by 5.3% year-on-year (actual growth rate after deducting price factors). On a month-on-month basis, it grew by 0.42%. From January to June, the industrial added value increased by 6.0% year-on-year.  Graphitized recarburant (gpc) is a widely used casting auxiliary material. It can be applied in the casting of alloys such as cast iron and ductile iron. 

• By sector: In June, the added value of the mining industry grew by 4.4%, manufacturing by 5.5%, and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas, and water by 4.8%.

• By economic type: State-controlled enterprises' added value grew by 3.0%, joint-stock enterprises by 5.9%, foreign and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan-invested enterprises by 2.9%, and private enterprises by 5.7%.

• By industry: Of the 41 major industries, 35 saw year-on-year growth in added value in June. Coal mining and dressing grew by 4.2%, oil and natural gas extraction by 4.4%, agricultural and sideline food processing by 0.9%, alcoholic beverages, beverages, and refined tea manufacturing by 7.2%, textiles by 5.1%, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing by 9.2%, non-metallic mineral products declined by 0.4%, ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing by 3.3%, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing by 10.2%, general equipment manufacturing by 3.4%, special equipment manufacturing by 3.4%, automobile manufacturing by 6.8%, railways, ships, aerospace, and other transportation equipment manufacturing by 13.1%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing by 4.4%, computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing by 11.3%, and electricity and heat production and supply by 4.1%.
