1. Graphite Electrodes

According to customs data, China's graphite electrode export volume in November 2024 was 28,800 tons, an increase of 17.21% compared to the previous month but a decrease of 15.6% year-on-year. From January to November 2024, the total export volume of graphite electrodes was 304,700 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.48%. The main export countries in November 2024 were the UAE, Russia, and South Korea.

2. Needle Coke

1. 1. Oil-based Needle Coke
   According to customs data, China's import of oil-based needle coke in November 2024 was 5,100 tons, an increase of 38.64% year-on-year and 28.74% compared to the previous month. From January to November 2024, the total import of oil-based needle coke was 75,900 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 19.03%. The main import country in November 2024 was the United States, with an import volume of 3,300 tons. In November 2024, China exported approximately 2,900 tons of oil-based needle coke.

   
   

2. Coal-based Needle Coke

   According to customs data, China's import of coal-based needle coke in November 2024 was 3,300 tons, a decrease of 33.79% compared to the previous month but an increase of 53.42% year-on-year. From January to November 2024, the total import of coal-based needle coke was 69,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.86%. The main import countries in November 2024 were South Korea and Japan, with imports of 2,200 tons and 1,100 tons, respectively.
