Fangda Carbon: Graphite electrode market is expected to recover in 2023

As for the downstream demand of graphite electrode, Fangda indicated that since December 2022, 15 provinces and cities have issued documents to vigorously promote the transformation of steel production process from long process to short process, improve the level of scrap steel recycling, and accelerate the construction of electric furnace projects and blast furnace adjustment. In 2023, the downstream market of graphite electrode will recover well, and the demand is expected to be better than last year.

Fangda indicates that the newly-built electric arc furnace is developing towards large size, low cost and high operating efficiency, and is closely following market changes, seizing market opportunities, flexibly adjusting product structure, adapting to market demand, and forming a new competitive pattern. The Φ 750mm and Φ 800mm ultra-high power graphite electrode products fill the gap in the domestic market, Φ 700mm ultra-high power electrode products get a favourable reception by customers, and the technical indicators reach the international advanced level.
