November 2023 China's Import-Export Data 

I. Graphite Electrodes

According to customs data, China's graphite electrode exports in November 2023 were 34,100 tons, a decrease of 2.14% compared to the previous month and an increase of 32.95% year-on-year. From January to November 2023, China's total graphite electrode exports amounted to 309,200 tons, reflecting a 1.57% decrease compared to the same period last year. In November 2023, China's major graphite electrode export destinations were Azerbaijan, Malaysia, and Russia. 

II. Needle Coke

Petroleum-based Needle Coke

According to customs data, China's imports of petroleum-based needle coke in November 2023 were 3,700 tons, representing a 29.30% year-on-year decrease and a 54.79% month-on-month decrease. From January to November 2023, China's total imports of petroleum-based needle coke were 93,700 tons, indicating a 22.55% year-on-year decrease. In November 2023, China's main importers of petroleum-based needle coke were the United Kingdom and Japan, with import volumes of 1100 tons and 900 tons, respectively. China's exports of petroleum-based needle coke in November 2023 were approximately 2,000 tons, and from January to November, the total export volume was 34,700 tons.

Coal-based Needle Coke

According to customs data, China's imports of coal-based needle coke in November 2023 were 2,100 tons, a 79.60% year-on-year decrease and a 51.59% month-on-month decrease. From January to November 2023, China's total imports of coal-based needle coke amounted to 65,400 tons, showing a 17.24% year-on-year increase.
