In 2021, there were 291 enterprises above designated size in Ulanqab, with an operating rate of 79.4%. The city's total industrial output value above designated size increased by 18.3% year-on-year, and the added value comparable basis increased by 4.1%, to view information of high degree of lubrication and high quality graphite powder with different granularity.

The operating rate of 47 large and medium-sized enterprises was 95.7%, and the total output value increased by 31.6% year-on-year; The operating rate of 192 small enterprises was 77.6%, and the total output value increased by 3.1% year-on-year; The operating rate of 52 micro enterprises was 71.2%, and the total output value decreased by 29.9% year-on-year.

From January to December, the operating rate of 260 heavy industrial enterprises in the city was 77.7%, and the total output value increased by 18.3% year-on-year; The operating rate of 31 light industrial enterprises with agricultural and sideline products as the main raw materials was 93.6%, and the total output value increased by 19.5% year-on-year.

From January to December, 22 of the 37 products increased year-on-year. The output of main products from January to December is as follows: the output of ferroalloy is 6.331 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 15.5%; The output of calcium carbide was 2.634 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 13%; The output of dairy products was 256000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%; The output of cement was 3.481 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.3%; The output of cement clinker was 5.45 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 16%; The output of graphite and carbon products was 692000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 25.1%; The output of primary form plastics was 615000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 86.1%. From January to December, the production and marketing rate of industries above designated size was 98.14%, 1.7 percentage points lower than that of industries above Designated Size in the whole region. Among them, the production and marketing rate of heavy industry is 98.14%, and that of light industry is 98.11%.
