May 10, 2022, China's graphite electrode market prices remain stable.

At present, the price of jinxi low sulfur petroleum coke, the upstream raw material of graphite electrode, has been significantly increased by 400 yuan/ton, and calcined coke price has been increased by 700 yuan/ton. At present, the price of Jinxi low sulfur calcined coke has reached 11100 yuan/ton, and graphite electrode raw material cost maintains at a high level. 

The downstream steel plants operation is insufficient, and the low market price is relatively limited to stimulate the downstream delivery, together with the high cost pressure and insufficient profit, the quotation of graphite electrode enterprises is strong.

In addition, the current graphite electrode market process cost is high, graphite electrode graphitization processing average cost is about 5500 yuan/ton, non-complete process graphite electrode enterprise cost pressure is more obvious.

At present, graphite electrode market is under a high cost pressure, the graphite electrode enterprises are cautious in production, without inventory pressure. The enterprises have a strong willing of supporting the price, but under the restriction of weak demand, the actual transaction price of the graphite electrode market has not been implemented currently. Therefore, in the short term, the transaction price of graphite electrode market is expected to push up, mainly to implement the current quotation.

On May 10, 2022, China's graphite electrode market prices:

1. RP graphite electrode (300mm~600mm) quoted 22500~25000 yuan/ton;

2. HP graphite electrode (300mm~600mm) quoted 24000-27000 yuan/ton;

3. UHP graphite electrode (300mm~600mm) quoted 25500~29500 yuan/ton.
