In June 2022, the world crude steel output of 64 countries reported to worldsteel was 158.1 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.9%. The arc smelting of steel with graphite electrode has been widely accepted by domestic and foreign steel enterprises in recent years.

In June 2022, crude steel output: In Africa was 1.2 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 18.7%; In Asia and Oceania was 1.188 million tons, down 3.1%; In the European Union (27 countries) was 11.8 million tons, down 12.2%; In Europe and other countries was 3.8 million tons, down 10.9%; In the Middle East was 3.4 million tons, down 5.0%; In North America was 9.6 million tons, down 2.4%; In Russia and other CIS countries + Ukraine was 5.9 million tons, down 34.3%; In South America was 3.7 million tons, down 4.9%.

Japan's output was 7.4 million tons, down 8.1%. United States' output was 6.9 million tons, down 4.2%. Russian's estimated crude steel production was 5 million tons, down 22.2%. South Korea's estimated crude steel output was 5.6 million tons, down 6.0%. Germany's output was 3.2 million tons, down 7.0%. Turkey's output was 2.9 million tons, down 13.1%.
