【Petroleum Coke】China Domestic Carburant Market Analysis

In this week, carburant prices saw a modest increase. Regarding calcined coal, the prices of raw materials, specifically anthracite coal, experienced an upward trend. In this week, shipments of calcined coal carburant were robust, and the operating rate of downstream demand side electric arc furnace refineries has increased.  As raw material costs exerted pressure, calcined coal carburant prices saw an increase of 50 yuan/ton.

As for calcined petroleum coke (CPC) and graphitized  petroleum coke (GPC) carburant, the prices of raw materials, petroleum coke, exhibited a narrow decline in recent weeks, with trading activity remaining reasonable, and prices remaining stable compared to the previous week. Shipments of CPC carburant performed well, driven by continued downstream demand, resulting in a price increase of 100 yuan/ton compared to the previous week.
