Recently, the price of graphitized carburant (C≥98.5%, S≤0.05%, particle size 1-5mm) in bulk packaging has been around 3300-3400 CNY/ton (tax included) in North China, and 3400-3500 CNY/ton (tax included) in East China.

Raw Material Update

The petroleum coke market is seeing stable trading, with the average price of petroleum coke at 2442 CNY/ton, showing little change compared to the previous trading day. Sinopec’s refineries are maintaining stable operations, and demand for coke from the downstream anode material industry is steady. Overall, petroleum coke prices are expected to remain stable with a slight upward trend in the short term.

Demand Outlook

As the Spring Festival holiday approaches, some steel mills are still stocking up, but the overall steel market is fluctuating, and steel demand is gradually weakening. This has led to a reduced willingness to purchase carburants, with steel mills' production activity declining. However, in the long term, as global economic development and infrastructure construction continue, the steel industry’s demand for graphitized carburants is expected to grow steadily.

With the active petroleum coke market and prices showing moderate increases, the high price of graphitized carburants has found strong support. However, due to weak downstream demand, further price increases are limited. In the short term, graphitized carburant prices are expected to maintain a slightly strong or stable trend.
