In February 2026, exports were 22,000 tons, down 30.38% month-on-month but up 13.33% year-on-year. Total exports for January–February 2026 amounted to 53,600 tons, an increase of 7.34% year-on-year. The main export destinations of China's graphite electrodes in February 2026 were the UAE, Russia, and South Korea.

02 Needle Coke

Oil-Based Needle Coke

According to customs statistics, China's oil-based needle coke imports reached 13,700 tons in January 2026, up 654.03% year-on-year and 31.45% month-on-month. In February 2026, imports were 4,100 tons, up 339.96% year-on-year but down 70.42% month-on-month. Total imports for January–February 2026 were 17,800 tons, an increase of 548.37% year-on-year. The main import sources of China's oil-based needle coke during this period were the United Kingdom and Russia, with import volumes of 8,700 tons and 5,200 tons respectively. Exports of oil-based needle coke during January–February 2026 were approximately 8,472 tons.

Coal-Based Needle Coke

According to customs statistics, China's coal-based needle coke imports were 7,700 tons in January 2026, down 13.92% month-on-month but up 20.21% year-on-year. In February 2026, imports were 4,500 tons, down 41.31% month-on-month and 48.37% year-on-year. Total imports for January–February 2026 reached 12,200 tons, a decrease of 19.39% year-on-year. The main import sources of China's coal-based needle coke during this period were South Korea and Japan, with import volumes of 8,900 tons and 3,300 tons respectively.
