In May 2022, China's artificial graphite export volume decreased by 14.3% month-on-month

1. Import side

From January to May 2022, China's artificial graphite total import volume was 11,106.4 tons, an increase of 1.4% year-on-year, and the total import amount was 600 million yuan, an increase of 17.6% year-on-year.

In May 2022, China's artificial graphite total import volume was 2,761.93 tons, an increase of 26.7% over May last year, and an increase of 18% over April this year.

As shown in the figure below, artificial graphite import unit price  continued to rise in May, about 52336 yuan/ton, up 6.2% month-on-month compared with April.

2. Export side

From January to May 2022, China's artificial graphite total export volume was 148,000 tons. From January to may 2021, the total export volume was 157,000 tons, a decrease of 5.7% year-on-year. This year, the export amount was 2.28 billion yuan, a increase of 24.6% year-on-year.

In May 2022, China's artificial graphite total export volume was 32,079.27 tons. In April, the total export volume was 37,426.59 tons, a decrease of 14.3% month-on-month in May compared with April, and an increase of 15.3% year-on-year in May last year.
