This week, the domestic graphite electrode market has a strong wait-and-see atmosphere. Near the end of the year, the operating rate of steel plants in the North of China has decreased due to seasonal effects, while  due to power restriction, the South continues production is below the normal level. The demand for graphite electrodes has decreased slightly compared with the same period. At present, steel plants are mainly purchasing on demand.

Export side: there are many overseas inquiries recently, but most of them are for products in the first quarter of next year. Therefore, there are not many actual orders, and they are mainly wait-and-see. In the domestic market this week, due to the price decline of some petroleum coke plants in the early stage, some traders' mentality fluctuated slightly, and other mainstream graphite electrode manufacturers still focused on stability. Near the end of the year, some manufacturers returned funds and made a sprint in performance. Therefore, it is normal for the price of graphite electrode to fluctuate slightly.
