Ordinary calcined coal-based carburant is the product of refined washed anthracite with low ash and sulfur, which is calcined in a furnace at around 1,250°C. The main production areas are Ningxia and Inner Mongolia, with a general carbon content between 90~93%, which is mainly used in steelmaking enterprises. Some casting enterprises use carburant for gray iron casting. Due to high fixed carbon content, strong antioxidant properties, and low harmful element content, it can be used as a reducing agent in the smelting process. In the process of electric arc furnace steelmaking, coke or anthracite can be added as the main carburant when feeding.

Particle Size:

The specifications range from 0-1mm, 1-3mm, 3-5mm, 5-8mm, 0-10mm, to 0-5mm, and can be customized based on customer requirements.

Production Process:

After washing, anthracite is dried at room temperature → calcined at high temperature at around 1,300°C in the furnace → volatile matter is removed → discharged → crushed → screened → packaged

Applications:

It is also often used in smelting process, induction furnace carburizing, cupola furnace carburizing, dual phase process, molten iron ladle in front of furnace increasing with flow rate, as well as carburizing in special steel smelting and nodular cast iron casting. The ordinary calcined coal-based carburant can replace the petroleum coke carburant to increase carbon in steelmaking, which can reduce the cost and improve the economic benefits of enterprises. Coal-based carburant have no effect on the chemical composition, total amount of inclusions, crystallinity, and mechanical properties of steel during the steelmaking process.

Price:

Due to different quality of raw materials and different customer uses, the prices of ordinary calcined coal-based carburant also vary.
