【Graphite Electrodes】Export volume decreased MoM in June, with an increase in exports to Russia

According to customs data, China's graphite electrode exports in June were 23,100 tons, a decrease of 10.49% compared to the previous month but a year-on-year increase of 6.75%. The top three export destinations were mainly Russia with 2,790 tons, South Korea with 2,510 tons, and Malaysia with 1,470 tons. 

From January to June 2023, China's total graphite electrode exports reached 150,800 tons, showing a 6.03% increase compared to the same period in 2022. The increase in exports to Russia was influenced by the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War and the EU's anti-dumping measures, leading to a higher proportion of China's graphite electrode exports to Russia while the proportion of exports to EU countries declined. Follow us for the latest trends in the graphite electrode market's supply and demand.
