Export Statistics for September 2023

In September 2023, the export volume of graphite electrodes increased by 2.42% compared to the previous month. 

According to customs data. China exported a total of 24,600 tons of graphite electrodes in September 2023, marking a 2.42% increase on a monthly basis, while there was a 10.95% decrease compared to the same month the previous year.  

The top three countries importing Chinese graphite electrodes in September 2023 were Turkey with 4,700 tons, Russia with 2,420 tons, and South Korea with 1,860 tons. For the period from January to September 2023, China's total graphite electrode exports reached 225,700 tons, showing a 3.08% increase compared to the same period last year.

In September 2023, the export data for petroleum coke, considering trade methods, is as follows:

The export volume of non-calcined petroleum coke from China in September 2023 was  31,000 tons, indicating a significant 508% month-on-month increase. The average export price was 210.47USD/ton, with a substantial 47.92% decrease compared to the previous month.

South Korea was the largest importer of Chinese petroleum coke in September, with an import volume of 22,000 tons and an average import price of 128.81 USD/ton.
