in the United States Rebound

According to overseas data, in 2023, the production of graphite electrodes by the leading company in the United States fell to 88,100 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 46%, with sales of 91,600 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 38.6%.

Looking at the data from the fourth quarter, the production of graphite electrodes by this company was 24,100 tons, essentially unchanged from the third quarter; sales were 24,400 tons, up 7.48% from the third quarter, reflecting signs of improvement in overseas market demand.

In terms of prices, the long-term contract price for graphite electrodes in the fourth quarter was 8,500 USD/ton, down $150 from the previous quarter, while the spot price was 4,800 USD/ton, down $600 from the previous quarter.
