The Current Needle Coke Market for This Week

By the end of March, China's needle coke market maintained stable operation, with mainstream prices of raw coke ranging from 4800 to 5300 yuan/ton, and calcined coke ranging from 6500 to 7800 yuan/ton. The market trading was robust, with a rebound in downstream demand, mainly driven by essential procurement. The operating rate of graphite electrode electric arc furnaces increased slightly, and production of cathode materials by leading companies gradually resumed. However, the high cost of coal tar pitch in the coal-based needle coke sector led to high production costs. It is expected that the needle coke market will remain stable in April. 

The Current Graphite Electrode Market for This Week

By the end of March, China's graphite electrode market prices remained stable, with mainstream prices ranging from  14500 to 23000 yuan/ton . The operating rate remained relatively low, and production was mainly determined by sales. Downstream demand was relatively weak, with some companies offering discounts to boost sales.
