【Steel Industry】Large-Scale Production Halts and Maintenance Underway!
Shansteel Laiwu
Starting December 8, medium and small bar production lines will undergo maintenance for 17 days, ending December 26. This will impact 50,000 tons of special steel bar production (Φ16-120). Calcined petroleum coke, characterized by its high fixed carbon, high calorific value, low ash content, and low volatile matter, is widely used in steel metallurgy, chemical industries, and power generation.
Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes
A 5-day maintenance plan will reduce output by 4,000 tons per day, primarily affecting wire rods. During this period, the third wire rod line will halt, and the first and second lines will alternate production to avoid peak demand periods.
Changqiang Steel
From November 10 to December 5, a 500m³ blast furnace will be maintained, and another 500m³ blast furnace will undergo maintenance from November 15 to December 22. This will reduce hot metal output by 4,200 tons/day. A bar rolling line will halt for 7 days, reducing bar output by 3,000 tons/day, and a casting line will be down for 15 days, reducing billet output by 2,500 tons/day.
Fengnan Steel
Hebei Zongheng Group’s Fengnan Steel began a 30-day maintenance of a 2,314m³ blast furnace on November 10, reducing hot metal output by 7,500 tons/day.
Minyuan Steel
From November 21 to December 10, a 1,080m³ blast furnace will undergo annual maintenance for 20 days, reducing hot metal output by 3,000 tons/day. During this period, a bar rolling line will halt, affecting rebar production. Another 1,580m³ blast furnace will be maintained from December 11 to December 30, reducing hot metal output by 5,000 tons/day. The impact on finished steel is yet to be determined.
Xiang Steel
A 40-day maintenance plan for Bar Line No. 2 will run from December 10 to January 20, reducing Φ80-250 bar output by 85,000 tons.
WISCO
From November 21 to December 25, a 3,200m³ blast furnace will undergo a 35-day annual maintenance, reducing hot metal output by 7,800 tons/day. This will affect bar, billet, and hot-rolled product output, though specific figures depend on actual production.
