Graphite Products
Also known as graphitized products or synthetic graphite products, this category includes regular graphite electrodes, high-power graphite electrodes, ultra-high-power graphite electrodes, special graphite electrodes, anti-oxidation coated graphite electrodes, graphite blocks, and high-purity electrographite used to process graphite crucibles, graphite boats, graphite molds, and similar products.
These products are primarily made from petroleum coke and pitch coke, using coal tar pitch as the binder. Through processes such as mixing, forming (extrusion or molding), baking, and graphitization, amorphous carbon is transformed into graphite.
Common characteristics of these products include: carbon content above 99%, ash content generally not exceeding 0.5%, excellent electrical conductivity, good heat resistance with high oxidation onset temperatures, high thermal conductivity, and strong corrosion resistance.
Carbon Products
This category refers to formed blanks that are ready for use after baking (or firing) at around 1300°C. It includes electric furnace carbon blocks, blast furnace carbon blocks, self-baking blocks, carbon electrodes, carbon anodes, carbon resistor rods, and others. These products are made using raw materials such as anthracite and metallurgical coke (or petroleum coke).
Natural graphite electrodes and recycled graphite electrodes are produced using natural graphite or synthetic graphitized scraps (cuttings or defective products from graphitization processing). These electrodes are usable after only baking.
Carbon Paste Products
These products are made by mixing crushed anthracite or coke particles with a binder under heat. Without further forming or heat treatment, the heated paste is molded into blocks or loaded into containers under atmospheric pressure for direct use.
Examples include electrode paste, sealed paste, coarse seam paste, and fine seam paste. Based on application, paste products fall into two categories: one being continuous self-baking electrodes, used in the production of ferroalloys, calcium carbide, yellow phosphorus, etc., and also as conductive materials.
Electrode paste is made from anthracite and metallurgical coke as raw materials.
