Mysteel: During 2023 Spring Festival negative electrode materials market analysis

Ⅰ. Supply side

Negative material production volume.jpg

Affected by the negative electrode manufacturer's early Spring Festival holiday and other factors, the overall market operating rate fell, while the order volume of downstream battery plants generally declined, resulting in the overall low level of construction and production of negative electrode materials. Manufacturers have been shut down in succession. The output in January is expected to be around 94500 tons, down 10.09% month-on-month.

In 2023, the global negative electrode material market will keep on developing continually. Lithium battery installed capacity is about 745-1115GWh and the production volume is expected to be 1200-1400GWh, the negative electrode consumption per GWh is about 12500 tons and the demand volume is about 1.5-17.5 million tons.
