According to customs statistics, in August 2023, the import volume of low sulfur petroleum coke (with sulfur content<3%) in China was 281400 metric tons, a decrease of 11.76% month on month and 21.63% year-on-year. The import value for the month amounted to $72,207,700 USD, with an average import price of $256.61 USD/MT. The cumulative import volume for the year reached 2,764,000 metric tons, with a total import value of approximately $1,036,118,200 USD and an average import price of $374.86 USD/MT, showing a year-on-year increase of 22.46%. In August 2023, the import volume of low-sulfur petroleum coke (sulfur content <3%) amounted to 281,400 metric tons. The top 5 source countries for imports were Brazil, accounting for 38.79% of the total, followed by the United States at 17.60%, Colombia at 16.83%, Azerbaijan at 10.78%, and Russia at 6.25%.

When categorized by import trade mode, general trade accounted for a significant 98.48% of imports in August 2023.
