The price of the raw material low sulfur petroleum coke upstream of the graphite electrode has dropped again. Fushun and Daqing low sulfur petroleum coke prices were both reduced by 500 yuan. Needle coke price is high and stable. In general, the graphite electrode cost pressure has been reduced. In addition, the poor shipment of graphite electrodes is not easy to ease in the short term, and the wait-and-see mood of the graphite electrode market has increased.

Recently, due to the influence of bad weather, some steel plants in southwest and East China have limited production and power consumption, staggered peak production and low operating rate. At the same time, the inventory pressure of the electric furnace steel plant is high, and the steel shipping pressure is also high. Some electric furnace steel plants have stopped production. The market demand for graphite electrodes is mainly the ultra-high power and small and medium-sized graphite electrodes required for converter steelmaking.

At present, the graphite electrode market still maintains a high cost state. Some graphite electrode enterprises are unwilling to make loss shipments and have not received low-cost orders for the time being.
