1. Scrap steel prices remain stable. RP graphite electrode prices remain stable, HP graphite electrode prices remain stable, and UHP graphite electrode prices remain stable. In October 2023, the ratio of crude steel produced from pig iron was 85.14%, an increase of 0.23 percentage points compared to the previous month. This means that 14.86% of crude steel production uses scrap steel in the smelting process. 

2. Last week, scrap steel prices were stable compared to the previous week. RP graphite electrode prices were stable compared to the previous week, HP graphite electrode prices were stable compared to the previous week, and UHP graphite electrode prices were stable compared to the previous week.

Last week, the price of scrap steel in Tangshan was 2760 yuan/ton, unchanged from the previous week. The cost of electric arc furnace steelmaking was 3619.16 yuan/ton, unchanged from the previous week.
