【Calcined Petroleum Coke】U.S. Exports Decline by 25.35% YoY in July 2024
In July 2024, the United States exported 210,495.00 metric tons of calcined petroleum coke, a decrease from 281,989.00 metric tons in the same period the previous year and an increase from 189,013.00 metric tons in the prior month, reflecting a 25.35% year-on-year (YoY) decline but an 11.37% month-on-month (MoM) growth.
The export value totaled $85.654 million, compared to $137.448 million YoY and $94.219 million MoM, marking a 37.68% YoY decrease and a 9.09% MoM decline. The average export price stood at $406.92 per metric ton, down from $487.42 YoY and $498.48 MoM, representing a YoY reduction of 16.49% and an MoM drop of 18.38%.
From January to July 2024, cumulative exports amounted to 1,361,661.00 metric tons, reflecting an 11.62% decline YoY compared to 1,540,750.00 metric tons during the same period in 2023.
Top three export destinations in July were as follows:
Canada: Export volume reached 44,488.00 metric tons, declining 39.00% YoY but increasing 113.72% MoM, with an average price of $391.39 per metric ton, down 33.09% YoY and 8.83% MoM.
Australia: Shipments totaled 26,244.00 metric tons, decreasing 27.18% MoM, with an average price of $537.23 per metric ton, reflecting a slight 1.03% MoM increase.
Qatar: Export volume was 20,060.00 metric tons, a marginal increase of 0.20% YoY, at an average price of $369.19 per metric ton, showing a 0.38% YoY rise.
