Eurasian Economic Union suspends anti-dumping duty on graphite electrodes to China
On March 30, 2022, the Internal Market Protection Division of the Eurasian Economic Commission announced that, pursuant to its Resolution No. 47 of 29 March 2022, the anti-dumping duty on graphite electrodes originating in China will be extended to 1 October 2022. The announcement will take effect from April 11, 2022.
On April 9, 2020, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) initiated an anti-dumping investigation against graphite electrodes originating in China. On September 24, 2021, the Department of Internal Market Protection of the Eurasian Economic Commission issued announcement No. 2020/298 /AD31, imposing an anti-dumping duty of 14.04% ~ 28.20% on China's graphite electrodes in accordance with Commission Resolution No. 129 of September 21, 2021. The measures will take effect from January 1, 2022 and will be valid for five years. The products involved are graphite electrodes for furnace with a circular cross section diameter of less than 520 mm or other shapes with a cross section area of less than 2700 square centimeters, involving products under the tax No. 8545110089 of the Eurasian Economic Union.
