Graphite electrode and needle coke import and export data in April 2022

1. Graphite electrode

According to customs statistics, in April 2022, China's graphite electrode export volume was 30,500 tons, a decrease of 3.54% month-on-month and 7.29% year-on-year; From January to April 2022, China's graphite electrodestotal export volume was 121,500 tons, a decrease of 15.59% year-on-year. In April, 2022, China's main graphite electrode exporting countries: Turkey, Russia and Kazakhstan.

2. Needle coke

Oil-based needle coke

According to customs statistics, China's oil-based needle coke import volume in April 2022 was 7800 tons, a decrease of 54.61% year-on-year and a increase of 156.93% month-on-month. From January to April 2022, China's oil-based needle coke total import volume was 20,600 tons, a decrease of 54.61% year-on-year. In April 2022, the main importing country of China's oil-based needle coke was Britain, with an import volume of 5200 tons.

Coal-based needle coke

According to customs statistics, in April 2022, China’s coal-based needle coke import volume was 8700 tons, a decrease of 27.89% month-on-month and a decrease of 28.73% year-on-year. From January to April 2022, China's coal-based needle coke total import volume was 35,000 tons, a decrease of 66.40% year-on-year. In April 2022, China's coal-based needle coke main importing countries were South Korea and Japan, with import volumes of 4200 tons and 1900 tons respectively.
