Since the Spring Festival, the terminal EAF steelmaking operating rate has been rising, and graphite electrode market demand has increased slightly. However, according to the overall market trading situation and the analysis of upstream and downstream factors, it still takes time for graphite electrode market to recover. 

In the first half of February, graphite electrode market prices declined by 500 yuan/ton. During the first half of this month, UHP 600MM averaged 25250 yuan/ton, HP 500MM averaged 21250 yuan/ton, and RH 500MM averaged 18750 yuan/ton. As a result of weak supply and demand, graphite electrode manufacturers actively increase shipments after the festival to reduce inventory pressure, and make a modest price concession.

Since February, UHP graphite electrode cost has declined slightly, mainly because needle coke market price has dropped by 200 yuan/ton, petroleum-based calcined coke price range is 10000-11000 yuan/ton, and coal-based calcined coke price range is 10500-12000 yuan/ton.
